The Wall-Balanced solution shows how a simple double plasterboard layer can be turned into an efficient sound barrier. The use of dBA WD anti-vibration units and taking an advantage of the resulting air gap is the reason this simple system performs at high levels. This solution installed on a 150 mm concrete slab is expected to result in an Airborne Sound Reduction Index (Rw) of 67 dB.
