For integrators, installing acoustic panels has always been difficult not only because of the complexity of acoustic treatment but also because of issues about wall damage and limited installation schedules. This underscores the need for a versatile, efficient, and easy-to-install solution. Understanding these challenges, Artnovion developed the FixArt Tube.
FixArt Tube is an innovative fixing system for acoustic panels that prevents wall damage, extends panel longevity, and simplifies relocation or upgrades to new spaces. Once installed, the system enables effortless adjustments with its clip-in and clip-out functionality, accommodates wall-mounted utilities like pipes and wires, and improves panel performance, particulary in the midrange.

How to use
Performance
At Artnovion, our passion for acoustics drives us to consistently optimize product performance.
When a panel is mounted using the FixArt Tube, an air cavity is formed behind it, which significantly enhances the
absorber's efficiency. To quantify this effect, we conducted a study comparing the performance of our panels with and
without the FixArt Tube under identical test conditions, highlighting the measurable impact on acoustic performance.
To ensure a representative sample of our product range, two panels were selected for this study: a wooden slatted panel
and a fabric absorber.
Figure 1: illustrates the absorption curves for the two configurations of the Siena panel: with and without the FixArt Tube. Siena, an Artnovion classic, features the highest absorption rate among wooden absorbers on the market. This panel was designed with a slatted QRD sequence over a high-performance acoustic core. The results demonstrate a significant increase in acoustic performance in the lower octaves, leading to an improvement in its acoustic class from B(0.8) to A(0.9).
The second panel selected for this investigation was the Helen, a conventional acoustic panel consisting of stretch fabric over standard acoustic foam. This design is one of the most widely used solutions in recording studios worldwide. Owing to the foam's inherent properties, high frequencies are effectively controlled. Figure 2 illustrates the impact of introducing the FixArt Tube to this type of panel. A notable improvement in the mid-frequency band is observed, increasing the absorption coefficient and elevating the panel's sound absorption performance to 0.7.
